and also Michael McClure, beat poet and Dylan contemporary, who died
on May 4, aged 87 ● Chris Cooper led the discussion on the
soon-to-be-released new Bob Dylan double album 'Rough & Rowdy Ways'.
Song titles and album personnel were discussed and Garret Baker added
detail to the Irish connection to the story with his account of
meetings he had with Dylan's band and crew during the time of the

John Nye ● We remembered Peter Green, blues guitarist and
co-founder in 1967 of Fleetwood Mac, who died on July 25 aged 73; Pete
Hamill, a prominent New York City journalist and novelist, who also
wrote the Grammy award winning liner notes for Bob Dylan's 'Blood On
The Tracks' album. He died on August 5, aged 85; and also C.P. Lee, who was a musician, author,
broadcaster and lecturer from Manchester, UK, who died on July 25 aged
70. He was also a friend to many at TCBDS and also contributed to the
Freewheelin' magazine and also spoke at, and performed at, several of our
John Green Day annual Bob Dylan conventions that were held from
2001 to 2006 ● Nancy Cobb remembered Tara Zuk, moderator
and agent up at the Dylan Facebook groups
Edlis Café and
Edlis Parties & Gatherings, who died recently. She also edited

He was a long-time friend of The Cambridge Bob Dylan Society and
attended our ZOOM Bobchat meetings. He was also a regular attendant
[sometimes with his daughter Mags] at our pub meetings in Cambridge.
As a tribute to
Graham we played a video of his favourite Bob Dylan song 'Don't Think
Twice, It's All Right', from Bournemouth, 1 October 1997 ● Chris Cooper on the latest Whiskey edition of Bob
Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour. He was joined by Kathy Fortier,
administrator of the Facebook group 'Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio
Hour' ● We heard from Kathy Fortier's husband Jerry about
the time he saw Dylan in concert in Chicago, 1963 [not at The Bear but
at a concert hall, auditorium], where Dylan blew into the microphone when
he sang 'Blowin' In The Wind' and joked: 'that's the meaning of the

the early '60s and her personal experiences of the civil rights
movement there, and her seeing Joan Baez's involvement with the
movement during that time and her rise in the folk music world, and
her subsequent relationship with Bob Dylan ● Nancy Cobb talked
further about her visit to the auction house handling the recent
online Tony Glover auction and spoke of her day in the large storage
area with the lots that would later be for sale, and showed several
photographs she took while there. She was joined by Chris Cooper who
spoke about the Bob
Dylan tapes included in the auction ● Chris Cooper led the
discussion on the new Bob Dylan copyright extension 3CD set 'The 50th
Anniversary Collection: 1970' ● Chris
Cooper and Craig Jamieson on the recently surfaced stories surrounding
the 'Bob Zimmerman Bar Mitzvah Tape' ● Live music: Carolyn
Hester joined us from her home in Kansas City, Kansas, and performed
two songs: Tommy Sands' 'Age Of Uncertainty' and Dylan's 'Ye Playboys
& Playgirls', including the verses she added to the song. She and her daughter Amy
were with us for over an hour and Carolyn also answered questions from
Chris Cooper and others in the group.
Carolyn also spoke of the bunch of flowers she gave Bob Dylan during
his 30th Anniversary Celebrations at Madison Sq. Garden, New York, on
16 October 1992, and revealed that they had been thrown onto the stage
by someone in the audience, and she picked them up and it was Neil
Young who suggested that she give them to Dylan ●
